Surviving Myself

I am one of those folk who tend to form bad habits. At the end of the 1960s, in my early twenties I used drugs and alcohol daily. By 1980 I was so impared that my employer offered me the option of in-patient treatment for addiction. I believe that by never injecting drugs I may have moderated my detox experience.

Within a few days I was willing and able to perform written assignments and participated in discussions about my behavior when I was influenced by mind altering and mood changing substances. Finally I was facing that with the the clarity of abstinance.
